I have used this company for 25 years to install power shades and awnings. The motors still work fine. It's family owned and the installer has been there since 1997. They have great customer service. I highly recommend them.

This company is great! I called during Covid wanting two different types of rolling shades for my front deck. The owner was prompt in returning my call & scheduling a consult, although she did warn me the company was crazy busy with everyone wanting home improvements. She arrived wearing her mask, was professional in every aspect. My blinds were of in stock material & they arrived & were installed within 3 weeks! The sun filtering blind has been in daily use & works like a dream diffusing afternoon sun. I'm very happy with the entire experience in dealing with this company.

Back in September my original canopies we’re starting to tear and show their age. After having several companies come by I decided on Sunmaster. The estimator and sales lead, Bob walked us through the various color and style choices.
After receiving an estimate I let the project slip and didn’t contact them again until April. I was afraid that there would be a delay due to the time and COVID-19 situation. But, they honored the original bid and came right out to confirm dimensions. I was told the canopies would be ready in 4 weeks and was contacted bu Lisa to set my installation date.
The day of my installation, Enrique and his crew came to my house and let me know what they were going to do. They worked for several hours installing the canopies and servicing the frames. They even had to work around several other workers I had at the house. At the end, Enrique walked me through the operation and patiently answered my questions.
I couldn’t be happier with the color and operation of the canopies and would recommend Sunmaster to anyone who wants a quality job from a quality group of people.

We bought a 13 year old home that had the SunMaster awning already installed. It has been a blessing as it is on the South side of the house and gets sun most of the day.
Since it was 13 years old it was getting small tears and showing wear so I called to check and see if SunMaster had any type of maintenance available on the mechanical portion so we could make sure it was not going to become a problem.
Bob came out to take a look and assured us the company stands behind their installation. After discussing some options [and wanting to change out the awning itself]. Bob was very patient and showed me different patterns and we were able to change out the awning to something we liked.
The installers, Enrique and another gentleman were top notch and very professional. They cleaned up the mechanical parts and put the new one up in no time. No mess, no fuss.
There was no hard sell, or pressure from the company or Bob and the new awning was ready and installed on time and looks beautiful.
I would highly recommend SunMaster for your yard awning needs!

The installers, Enrique and Alex were so professional and thorough! Lisa (the owner) came to our house, got a swatch of paint, and matched the color of the fabricated metal perfectly. Enrique even noticed that one of the arms made a noise he didn't like when it got to a certain point, and said he will bring a replacement arm! Now that is service!
BTW, what I priced out was a few hundred dollars more than Costco's off the rack version (including install), but there is no comparison in quality and custom look for your property. This company is the real deal.

This company put in three electric remote controlled shades in our living room sliding doors in 2007. As well as 3 electric, switch controlled black out shades in our bedroom doors and window. They also made and installed our electric patio awning. They have been a great company to deal with and the quality of their workmanship and product is terrific. The customer service, from start to finish-- as well as installed product for our house-- were/are GREAT! From the moment that I called SunMaster regarding a retractable awning for our front patio, Mr. Bob Kushner was prompt in his response (he answered me on a Sunday!) and subsequent visit to our house a few days afterwards to measure for the awning. Bob even e-mailed us images of a few renderings so that we could see what different fabrics would look like on a front awning in our space! From Bob, to Lisa Surdam (office administration, etc.) and the gentlemen who installed our awning, our experience was excellent! The installers even gave us different options on how we wanted them to install the awning re. measurements, etc., so that the 'line' of the bottom of the awning would be aligned with our trellis next to it. How many installers do you know who actually pay mind to aesthetics, and give the customer such options? We also extremely happy with our Sunbrella fabric awning, a 'must' for the arid region of North Inland San Diego in which we live. Thanks again, would definitely recommend Sunmaster and hope to use them again in the future! :)

We purchased our motorized awning from SunMaster in San Marcos back in Sept of 2007. Our very large awning (22' X 8") was installed quickly and professionally. The installers were knowledgeable and helpful in instructing us to program and use the timer and wind sensor. They completed the job quickly and left the area spotless. We loved our new awning and the service we received from Lisa, the owner, and her staff, was outstanding. She is an upbeat, pleasant young lady who went out of her way and beyond our warranty to make the product right. The fabric and electronics were warranted for 5 years. We had it just about 10 years when the tube roll split. I believe SunMaster made that tube for our deck. I called them when it broke and they immediately came out to check the damage. Within three weeks they manufactured a new tube and offered to replace the fabric at cost with the option of choosing a new fabric color. We chose to stay with the original color. After 10 years the original fabric was still in excellent condition. We would certainly recommend them for your awning needs. Great group of people and the product is outstanding.
